This past weekend has been a weekend of embarrassing moments let me tell you! Pretty much just throw me a rock and I'll hide under it forever and all eternity! You know that feeling where you're about 11 years old and just as you're about to walk into the door at your new school you realize you forgot to put on clothes? Yea, that was just a dream but you can't seem to shake that dreaded feeling of complete mortification! Welcome to my weekend!

It started with me super duper excited to celebrate one of my closest friend's bridal shower, but this is the embarrassing part ... I showed up an hour late! Yup, one whole hour! And the icing on the cake, I'm in the bridal party, you know wearing a pretty dress holding flowers! Great way to show your friend that you love her, show up an hour late to her party! Yup, hugely embarrassed. Let's just say I'm willing to pick gum off the bottom of the pews in her wedding venue if she asked me to do it to make it up to her.

Then on Sunday while dealing with with Saturday's failings, I tried setting up an auto-response for my email thinking I'd be all high tech, but in the process I ended up spamming everyone whoI've ever had correspondence with. Oh, and not just once, every single email they ever wrote to me! I can only imagine some people's inbox filled to the brim with my greeting to them.

Let's just say I wanted to crawl under a rock this past weekend to hide my blushing face from embarrassment! I'm so sorry if you were a recipient of my unintentional spamming, and I better get my nails in tip top shape just in case I'm asked to pick gum!

When you think of the word film, what do you think of? Something that you see in the theaters, something you describe when you use your HD Flip, or something you put in an old style camera and hope it turns out well? For me, I'm usually talking about filming something for a video and in today's case that was exactly what I was doing....but for the purpose showing off that thing that you put in an old style camera!

Today, we put together a little spoof of a video for the 12x12 Vancouver Photo Marathon that is coming up on September 12th and they asked me to run the show. Man, talk about pressure! But I think the overall video is going to be hilarious and I wanted to show you a few sneak peeks from today! I loved Morten's outfit!

If you're looking for something to do come September for the day, seriously check it out! We're hosting the event on September 12th and the tickets are sure to sell out FAST!

I quietly tip-toed my way over to the edge before it gave way to the horizon before me. Carefully slinking down until my legs stretched out behind me and my stomach touched the rough ground below me, I peered wide eyed over the edge of the cliff. My knuckles were white as I clutched the sharp rocks, holding on for dear life as my heart beat fast and hard against my chest.

Down below, I saw them raging and flowing gently together in a beautiful juxtaposition, beckoning me to join the flow of their energy. My heart beat so hard I could hardly think, drowning out any thought I had, but I was okay with that. It was a time where I didn't want to listen my head, because I knew if I did, I would tip-toe back the same way I came with hardly a trace I was ever there, and I knew I needed to listen to my heart!

They swirled together and separated in a beautiful dance of lovers and enemies and I knew right then and there I wanted to be in the centre of it. Not wanting to miss a second of their glorious performance my heart skipped a beat and my body became covered with goose bumps as I leapt to my feet and threw myself over the edge and flew into the air waiting for their dance to embrace me!

My dreams and desires instantly found me and gathered me softly as we danced together in a fluid rhythm that only my heart could know and I became exhilarated at all the possibilities before me.

It has been my desire to travel, to take photos around the world, and take portraits of people while I'm there as well, and this year it's happening! This week I leapt towards my dreams and desires and am planning on travelling to a few different cities this year to do boudoir shoots. Adam and I are also travelling to Australia in the fall and I can't wait to take pictures this beautiful country. This week has been full of spontaneous decisions, but my heart feels at home and I can't wait to see what will happen!

I am a travelling portrait photographer, no longer peering over the edge!

First stop, Montreal!

The sun is shinning and beaming through my office window right now and it makes me thrilled for the weekend! The plans for our long weekend changed about every 2 hours from heading down to Portland, to not, to only me going, to not going again, to now going to the Okanagan instead. This is where we're sitting now, going to the OK, but I'm not banking on it...I'm expecting it to change again.

I wanted to wish you a happy and wonderful long weekend, and present to you what you receive when you purchase a print collection! I love handing these out, I put all my love into them. :)

It is simply beautiful today that it is making it really hard to convince myself that staying inside is a good idea. I don't think I'll last much longer! I am, however, working on a project that I'm so excited to share with you, hopefully very shortly! This weekend I will be finalizing the details and then hopefully next week I can share it with you. I'm seriously so excited about it!

I wanted to wish you a wonderful and hopefully sunny weekend and leave you with something that I simply adore. My Paloma's Nest bowl that my best friend Sarah gave to me as a birthday present! It arrived on my door step last week and I squealed with delight that I finally own one! It's a great place to hold my rings when I'm cooking, and how I do love sparkly things!
